We’re on a mission to build the future of procurement, and we’re seeking a gritty, driven, and strategic Head of Sales to lead our revenue engine and accelerate our growth trajectory. Purchaser’s founding team has deep expertise in the space.  The founders were core contributors to Xometry’s growth, helping scale the company to a $2B peak valuation and a $600M+ annual revenue run rate.

Role Overview

As the Head of Sales at Purchaser, you are a hands-on leader capable of both executing day-to-day sales activities and crafting the strategic roadmap to scale revenue. You thrive in high-growth, fast-paced environments and are equally comfortable closing a major deal as you are mapping out a multi-quarter sales strategy. You will play a pivotal role in building, leading, and optimizing a results-oriented sales team while leveraging contemporary tools, data-driven strategies, and innovative marketing techniques. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to achieve aggressive revenue targets in the B2B SaaS market.

  • Lead from the Front: Engage directly with enterprise prospects and key accounts, setting the tone for the sales organization through hands-on deal execution.

  • Build & Scale Sales Team: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performance sales team that is metrics-driven, resourceful, and relentlessly focused on results.

  • Sales Process Optimization: Implement data-driven sales processes, leveraging CRM tools, sales automation platforms, and analytics to streamline workflows and optimize pipeline management.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives and strategic growth plans.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with marketing to develop targeted campaigns that generate qualified leads and support sales efforts.

  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Analyze industry trends, customer feedback, and competitive positioning to refine go-to-market strategies.

  • Reporting & Forecasting: Present regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and leadership team.

  • Culture of Grit & Accountability: Foster a high-energy, results-driven culture where grit, adaptability, and strategic thinking are the norm.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of sales leadership experience in B2B SaaS, with a proven track record of scaling revenue in a fast-growth environment.

  • Strong ability to balance tactical execution with strategic planning.

  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.

  • Experience building and managing high-performance sales teams in a startup or high-growth company.

  • Gritty, resourceful, and relentless in pursuing ambitious sales targets.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Deep understanding of modern sales and marketing strategies, including account-based selling, digital marketing alignment, and automation tools.

  • Comfortable navigating complex B2B sales cycles, from prospecting to closing enterprise deals.

  • A passion for technology and the ability to translate complex solutions into compelling value propositions.

Compensation & Benefits

At Purchaser, we believe exceptional talent deserves exceptional reward. Our Head of Sales will be compensated with a package designed to reflect both the seniority of the role and the impact we expect this leader to have on our growth.

  • Base Salary: $160,000–$200,000, depending on experience and track record in B2B SaaS sales leadership

  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $250,000–$300,000, with significant upside for overperformance

  • Equity: Competitive stock option grant, designed to provide meaningful ownership and long-term upside as we scale
